Blue

I'm in Social Studies, writing this post as everyone's talking about saying "Here" when there's a sub. Today's the day that I present in World Languages! We're talking about the Stamp Act and the Revolutionary War. It's very interesting. Can you believe that in the so-called Boston "Massacre", only 5 people were killed and 4 were wounded? Also, the officers weren't hearing the directions to "Fire!" from their commander, they were hearing the colonists' shouts of "Fire!" because there was a fire going on that night. Because of the misunderstanding, an 11-year-old kid was killed! They should really use something like "Shoot!" or "Attack!" so that it doesn't happen again...
Lunch detention today. It won't be fun, but it won't be the worst thing in the world, either. I just wish I could talk with my friends, but I sent my science teacher an e-mail saying I was sorry and she said "Apology accepted", which can't be a bad sign. Still doing the detention, but she will hopefully refrain from further punishment. Also, the lunch detention helped me escape further punishment at home... Whew!
The Stamp Act was repealed in 1766 apparently, because they didn't want a Civil War in the colonies... Britain, you did it wrong. After that they taxed paint, lead, paper, glass, and tea in the Townshend acts (pronounced town-shend, not towns-hend like I thought at first) which they called "duties" instead of "taxes", so they technically weren't taxing us... right?
This is turning into the Learning Channel. I like talking about my classes, though; I hope you're learning stuff!
Did you know that they'll be sending people to Mars by 2030 or earlier?! They'll be sending robots and rovers earlier to scout and build the hab units before the people get there, so that they don't have to wait. It'll take about a year for them to get over there, then the rover will pick them up and take them to the hab units. I would sign up... except the thing is, right now it's a one-way trip. They wouldn't go back- ever. New people will be sent every 2 years, and the colony will grow. Like the american colonies, kind of. It'll be cool, and supply ships will come yearly so that they won't run out of stuff! They'll design their own buildings and stuff, and they will grow their own food as well, so that they won't have to have food shipped over too. Think about it... By 2035, wheat will be growing on Mars! It's really exciting, but I won't be going until you can get back. I don't want to die on Mars. Also, there will be a satellite around Mars that contacts Earth so you could FaceTime your family. I wonder how much cellular data you'd need to watch a YouTube video on Mars? Maybe they'll have wi-fi, free for everyone that comes over! That would be cool! Also, you wouldn't really have to have a job, except to help people with Mars stuff and things. I wonder what it would be like! Maybe I'll find out...
Anyways,

Hey everyone! Next day! Sorry that I didn't post this yesterday; I just didn't have a lot of time, sry D:
I forgot what I was talking about. Erm, uh... I forget. SHAMELESS ADVERTISING TIME!

On October 23-25, the Children's Theatre of Elgin (in Elgin, Illinois) is presenting the play The Adventures Of Aladdin! On the 23rd and 24th, the show is at 7:30 PM, and on the 25th, it's at 2:00 PM. It's $12 for adults and $10 for children and seniors, and it's at the Hemmens Cultural Center on 45 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL, zip code 60120. If you can come, please do! It's supposed to be REALLY GOOD!

Also, have you ever heard of DEATH BATTLE?! They're a video gaming channel that takes characters from video games, television shows, and movies and pits them against each other in a DEATH BATTLE! Characters like Mario, Peach, Luigi, Tails, Zelda, Link, Starscream, and Rainbow Dash are all competitors. Each battle starts off by listing each competitor's strengths and weaknesses, and then they battle. It's sort of like Epic Rap Battles Of History, but it's sort of different. (The channel that makes Death Battle, ScrewAttack!, is the recommended YouTuber this time, and the song Epic Rap Battles Of History: Mozart vs. Skrillex is the recommended song.) Also, have you heard of the website vat19.com? They sell really cool sciencey stuff like levitrons that levitate stuff up to 12 oz, and GIANT GUMMY BEARS WEIGHING 26 POUNDS! Sorry that this is turning into the Advertising Channel; I just have a lot of enthusiasm for LEVITATION OH MY GOSH

Anyways, after this long-winded history advertising post, I gotta go! bai for now :)
