SORRY I HAVE NOT POSTED

It's been a looong time. Sorry 'bout that, I just couldn't gain access to a computer on which to write about my life. To be honest, it's been... fairly boring. (This blog is called the boring life of racartiara, not the exciting life of racartiara, after all.) I'm going to get my hair trimmed on Thursday, by the way- I'm quite happy about that as it means I'm one step closer to getting my hair a different color! (I'm thinking maybe whitish-purple-blue?) Anyway, we got a lot of snow, and then lost a lot of snow. We also actually built the hammock we got last summer! (yay?) It was fun, but then it got colder out and I had to go inside.
On a side note, we went to the annual motorcycle show with our neighbors and their kids, and that was fun. (I wanted to get a tattoo, but my parents said no.) I played the "How-Much-Merch-Can-You-Collect" game, which is a simple game: you just travel around the show, looking for a specific brand or a specific color, and you see how much you can collect in one day! When doing a Progressive (trademark sign) run, I got fifteen things. (They sponsored the show.) Overall, it was pretty fun, with the exception of the food, which was, to be frank, terrible. They also had a stunt show, which looked AWESOME, but then one guy crashed, and it wasn't as cool. I hope he's safe and healthier now- he was doing a wheelie, and when he stopped, he flew over the handlebars, rolled the bike, and crashed into the guardrail. Ouch. Thank goodness he was wearing a helmet.

How have your lives been going, my faithful readers? Comment below!

Ash Wednesday!

(ash wednesday is today, if you didn't know.)

How are you? I have a question- does anyone actually look up my recommendations? If you don't, I don't see the point in recommending anything. Please let me know in the comments- feedback is appreciated!

Today, dear viewers, I'm going to talk about Sans the skeleton. From the video game Undertale. I feel it's best to not continue if you:

  • abhor spoilers (I'm gonna spoil stuff)
  • haven't played Undertale, and want to play it without spoilers
  • have played Undertale, but haven't played it more than one of the routes (or in the case of Pacifist, all the way through True Pacifist) and don't want spoilers
So yeah, continue if you DARE. If you wanna comment about the post but your comment contains spoilers, please preface it with [SPOILERS] so people don't get the game ruined. (I take the highest precautions in making sure you don't hear info you don't want.) If it contains spoilers and isn't prefaced, I WILL have it reported as spam. Please be careful, okay? HEY HEY! BUT WAIT! I'll put a line of red where the spoilers end, because I'm gonna talk about some other stuff, 'kay? Just go there for not-spoily stuff and my stuff.

So yeah. Sans. He's pretty awesome. I'll talk about the happy parts before the sad parts. He's the laziest bag o' bones this side of the planet, and always, always wears a blue hoodie. But then again, you probably knew that. If you didn't, LEAVE NOW and at least look him up on the Internet. Anyways, he's really amazing. Sometimes, too amazing. People have been known to have crushes on him or Papyrus, and I've seen a lot of Tumblr fanart that I don't wish to describe. (it was a dare, okay?) I'm not gonna lie, if I encountered him IRL, I'd probably want to date him. In fact, I do indeed have a crush on him. Buuuuut that doesn't justify what people have done to him on the Internet through fanart. I'm not going to say anything, or it would ruin the family-friendly approach I try to take on this blog. (Look it up on your own time if you really want to know. Please don't.) I really like the fact that he's taken so many different forms through AUs, and each type of Sans is different and special. The Christmas Party AU is a good example of this; it's by @loverofpiggies, who's my ultimate senpai. Christmas Party is basically where all the sanses get together for a Christmas Party, accompanied by three Papyri (Papyruses?) and one Gaster. So far, there's Scientist AU, Classic, Underfell, Underswap, Reapertale, and Genocide, although I anticipate more. I'm excited. Too excited, in fact. loverofpiggies is too amazing. They have made approx. half the AUs in the fandom. Seriously. Everything they touch turns into an AU. Anyways, enough about le senpai. Back to Sans. I'm not saying that I have a favorite Sans, because that would be favoritism. (Although I find Underswap unbearably fluffy and want to put him in a big ol' fluffy sweater.) They're all amazing skeletons. Now for the sad parts. Sans is sooo identifiable because, like him, I have undiagnosed depression... and it really isn't fun. I find it unbearably sad that out of all of the characters, Sans never really wants to hurt you. Everyone else only fights you because "humans must die" and all, or because it's for your own good. Sans? He only fights you because you killed Papyrus. Even then, since he knows about the timelines, he recognizes the fact that you were friends before. He even wishes "they" didn't make him do this. It breaks my heart when I watch someone fight him. I'd also like to note that he's really strong, but his HP is only 1. This is because HP doesn't stand for Health, but HOPE. He has barely any hope left after seeing every timeline. But something doesn't fit. He's too strong for one HP. This is where his laziness comes in- sleeping heals HP above max, right? What does he do every day? SLEEP. Anyways, yeah, he's reeeeeally hard to beat. Never gonna play Genocide because I can't handle killing the bae. Sorry not sorry. On the plus side, someone started Cheer Up The Skeleton Week on Tumblr, which is all about cheering up Sans! (we're right in the middle of the week right now, actually.) It's super amazing because he's being happy and cheerful again, and I just want to scream from how happy that makes me. And I identify in so many ways with this guy. We both have younger siblings that we would quite literally die to protect, and die to swear vengeance on who killed them. We're aware of things that never happened (see: my brother being a disembodied spirit who isn't alive or anything), and yeah. Anyways, Sans. Cool guy! End of rant!

I've been meaning to talk about my synesthesia for a while. I believe I have three types: grapheme-color, audio-color, and personality-color. Each type is different. I'm gonna put a code below for my colors of letters, and you can comment the sounds you want me to color. That's pretty much it, except recommendations:

Running Is Very Hard

(we did running drills in gym. I was out of breath the rest of the day.)

So, hey! How's everyone been! It's currently Fitness Night at my sister's school. There are a lot of very little kids. I've retreated into the internet to post. I'm sort of envious of the fact that my little sister has a rock wall in her gym. We don't get a rock wall, and I'm six grades older than her! She also gets cool roll-y scooters (if you haven't been on one, you haven't really lived). There are a lot of kids shooting baskets, and failing miserably. People are giving me strange looks because of my blue hair. I have headphones on so I don't have to listen to everyone screaming. Oh, they're having a meeting!

Okay, it seems like it was nothing important. Just some 'rules of play' and stuff. Now they're doing a warm-up. This'll be fun.

They're going to play a tag-like game. I'm very glad that I have 'homework', or I'd be enmired in all of this nonsense. Here are the rules of the game "Flusher Tag":
  • People have pool noodles.
  • They use these to tag people.
  • Once tagged, you get on one knee and put out your hand flat.
  • When you get "flushed", or someone pushes down your hand, you are back in the game.
  • After thirty seconds, the game ends, and if you have a pool noodle, you drop it and go somewhere else, letting someone else pick it up.
Okay, the music is kinda catchy. At least my mom and sister are having fun, if not me. There will also be snacks in the cafeteria afterwards, so that's something.

Kids seem to have almost boundless energy. I can't imagine running for hours on end. That might, however, be because I've been on the Internet for a while and have been conditioned to not go outside. (The winter weather? ugh.) There has now become an impassable mire of people. I can't escape. At least I have the Internet to keep me company.

Let's talk about the weather. Here, it's freezing and snowy. Only a few inches, but it's windy as all heck and feels like negative 3 degrees fahrenheit. How is the weather on your side of the world? I wanna know!

Don't really have much to say at this point. I'll see how the snacks are.

Skis and Slopes

(in case you don't understand, this will be about the ski retreat and what happened there, with some other stuff thrown in for good measure)

So on Friday, I packed and then went to my friend's house. We went to the church to get packed in the car and leave... and found nobody there. Turns out the pastor had to go and deliver a baby. We waited for three hours on devices, then actually left at around nine thirty PM. We drove until ten thirty, when we got settled in and checked in. We stayed up until around midnight. I had to bring tons of "healthy" snacks (leftover fruit snacks from my sister's birthday party, and Goldfish), and everyone else had exotic delicacies like Twix Bites and pull-apart watermelon Twizzlers. They also brought juice and Doritos. All amazing things, especially because they didn't mind sharing. I maaaay have devoured most of the Twizzlers.
The next day, it was time for SKIING! (is that the right spelling?) We got up, put on what felt like twenty layers of clothing, and somehow got to breakfast. After a delicious meal of things such as banana muffins and sausages, we went to the car and drove to the skiing mountain. I fell asleep. Once we got there, we checked in and then got in our gear! Ski boots are INSANELY hard to put on and walk in, or basically do anything in. Darn things must have weighed twenty pounds. The helmet was pretty easy to put on, though. I got some "Lime" skis and suffered through a two-hour-long lesson that went WAY too slow. I didn't use 99% of the tips he taught us, and it took way too long to be useful. It took the entire morning. I had lunch, then we got to actually ski. I only went down some bunny hills, but it was extremely fun. My arms hurt, and my feet have blisters. It was still pretty awesome. I also tried Takis for the first time. They're really, REALLY good. The only spicy thing I'll ever eat. mmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Sorry, got too enraptured. After we skiied, we took off our boots and stuff and it felt SO GOOD. You know when you get off a trampoline and jump and feel like "what? why aren't I jumping?" It was the opposite of that. It felt really good. Afterwards, we got in the car and drove back. It turns out that some cars were on the ice of the lake and went through when the ice melted. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, least of all us, but it was pretty close. Anyways, we came back and had dinner and then "fellowship", a church thing that was pretty cool and team-build-y and actually the best churchy thing I've had. We had ice cream, went to bed, et cetera.
Sunday, we woke up and packed. Then we went to breakfast and church. It was a really fast service- maybe forty-five minutes at most. I liked it because it was brief and still taught me a lot. I never thought I'd like church. Hm, interesting. Anyways, after that, we packed up and drove home, then me and my friend hung out at their church for a bit until her mom got back. Then we hung out at her house until my dad came to pick me up. All in all, it was fun. Challenging, but fun. The other girls were nice (they shared their takis, so I am forever indebted) and I enjoyed the break from reality. Not much else to report- so I'm going for now.
Bye!

heyheyhey

(this is the actual post about my life for today)

So let's start with some important news: from today (Friday) until Sunday, I'm going skiing at a ski retreat with one of my friends. As happy as this makes me, it means I won't be able to blog at all for Saturday or probably Sunday either, so I'll tell you lots when I get back. I wanted to make sure y'all were aware.

In other news, I got my flip phone today! It looks like an ancient artifact compared to my iPhone, but it works to call people and that's really what it's supposed to be used for. I just finished reading the book Every Soul A Star by Wendy Mass, and I really recommend it to everyone! It's really good, and the descriptions of things are amazing. I'm not going to spoil stuff for you, only that it's about three teenagers, an eclipse, and a life-changing summer. I think I'm going to re-read The Martian because I want another book to read. I'm bored.
I'm really tired. Too tired to really do anything. I'm not sure how I'm going to do a weekend of skiing if I'm already really tired from staying up normally.
It's Hat Day at school. You donate a dollar and then you can wear a hat. Someone donated and is now wearing a hat under a hood under a flower crown. Wow.

i'm chilly

Our bus came late and I had to stand outside for an hour. It apparently had a feels-like of seven degrees, so I'm hoping I didn't get frostbite. I'm also pretty hungry.
Besides that, I'm doing great! How 'bout you?
I was looking through my old pictures and found a lot of regrettable photos. Yeesh. Did I really look that bad? (Check the archive if you want to see my total fetus hair. Actually, please don't check the archive. My fetus hair is terrible.) I also rearranged the blog a bit, so it's easier to sign up to follow my blog and be on the mailing list every time I post a new post! It's right across from here, at least it should be. Also, I might totally upheave the blog and give it diff colors and stuff- what do you think? I'll also look into polling and stuff. Maybe I can do a weekly poll... that would be cool.
Anyways, not much to say about today! Sorry!

It's really cloudy outside

Exactly what it sounds like in the title.
Normal Gracc here! Nice to see you again! Evil twin's gonna be gone for a while. They said they had things to do. I'm not really going to ask what 'things' they were talking about, I'm going to enjoy my time here.
How has everyone been? I got Undertale (finally). I'm not very far yet, but I'm getting there. I'm not going to tell you what's happening right now (not gonna spoil stuff), but I've been checking out all the easter eggs and having tons of fun! I reeeeeeeeeeeeally want all the new official merch that's out (I need an undertale shirt), and I've checked it out and found some easter eggs along with the fact that Sans wearing pink slippers is now canon. That's pretty awesome.
Apparently some of my classmates check my blog because "it's like their own personal soap opera". Not sure what to make of that, but I'll say okay, because it means that they're checking it daily.
We had an assembly today about what's gonna happen in eighth grade and high school. I get to choose an elective! (I think I'm gonna take Spanish, because I need two years in order to get into some colleges that I might want to go to.)
It's really pretty outside right now- even though it rained pretty hard yesterday. The groundhog predicted early spring, and I think that's being felt in nature- first rain to melt most of the snow, and now geese are returning from the south! They say that animals can feel things before we can, and are more in-tune with nature than us- examples include dogs and cats being the first to run before an event like an earthquake or tornado, even before our scientific tools can predict it, geese leaving right before a winter storm's going to hit, and pigeons and other birds being able to return to a specific place. It's sort of interesting.
I've recently noticed that because I have synthesia, I can sort of feel if a song speeds up a bit or slows down a bit in places, and it's started to impact more and more. Even a tiny difference makes the song feel off. Also, I've started hearing songs and just being like "man, that song's really clean." What I mean is that it doesn't really have that many things in my soundscape, and sounds fairly simple. This isn't necessarily bad or good, I enjoy lots of clean or busy songs (busy songs are the opposite, with lots of color in the soundscape), it just looks different. Usually my soundscape has things like:

  • the melody, obviously, looking like a dot or trail moving along
  • the harmony, being different dots and trails moving around the melody
  • the beat, being a sort of background color that becomes more or less transparent
  • the surrounding sounds, being sort of like colored objects that move with the melody and harmony
It usually looks pretty interesting. Some of the colors and shapes look soft, with soft edges, and others look really hard, with clean edges and simplistic colors. It's fun!

Reccommendations:
Song: Nightstep-Shatter Me by Lzzy Hale and Lindsey Stirling (both the nightstep and original versions are amazing)
YouTuber: plasterbrain (she's the sister of the amazing JelloApocalypse, and does the voice of Temmie in the Temmie Flakes commercial, so that's awesome)

I just realized that I've been recommending things for two years now. That's pretty cool, if you ask me.

hey, evil twin here. although currently attending to some business, i still have time for your questions, so don't be afraid to ask~

hello all!

evil gracc's here for a normal post! i'll describe the day and then switch off with normal me, who'll describe the day as well.

so, we went to math. easy stuff. then english, easy again. after that we did social studies- studying for the constitution- and we had the most boring time of our lives. after that, easy stuff. then we made dinner, and then i sat through crafts with my sister. that's it.

We had our school day, and then I helped make some dinner- umami (savory) burgers with delicious sauce and white cheddar (mmm). I played Disney Infinity (fun) and built a race track (yay), then helped my sister use her new Beados machine (if you don't know, look it up. it's interesting, really) and then watched Wheel Of Fortune with the family. It was pretty fun!

yeah, right. it wasn't fun.

Anyways, yeah! Also, I drew vines on my hand in purple Sharpie. I think it looks pretty cool. But what was I talking about? Oh yeah, reccommendations!
