le eightieth post (did I spell that right?)

HOIY everyone. How was your Thanksgiving? How's being back in school, work, or other? DID YOU LIEK THE SNOW? My Thanksgiving break went well, with the first snow of the year and all on the first night of break... but then it melted pretty fast. (sigh.) The day after Thanksgiving, it was CHRISTMAS AT OUR HOUSE with us putting up the tree, hanging the stockings by the chimney with care with hope that St. Nicholas soon would be there, et cetera. We also now have an Elf On The Shelf named Snowflake. And two trees. Because our old tree was too tiny for our living room so now we have an EIGHT-AND-A-HALF FOOT PRE-LIT PRESTON PINE in our living room and our old tree in the bonus room. Speaking of the bonus room, it's very cold in there because of no insulation so we have to have a fire every once in a while in the little fireplace thing in the corner. It looks like it came from Victorian times, so I'm mildly worried about our house burning down. Just mildly.
In other news, SNOW SNOW SNOW is fun because it's SNOW. For the first snow, I didn't have like ANY STUFF so I couldn't go outside but now I have stuff so if the SNOW gets deep enough then I can go out and play in the SNOW! yay
Also, I need more synonyms for "also". Make mental note of that.
I've been farming my Summoners War and Clash Of Clans nonstop b/c it's fun. Short review of each app!
Clash Of Clans: You know what it is. It's one of the biggest apps of its category, and is sort of like Tower Defense-style but you also get to be offense as well. I looooooove playing it but the thing is, Gems are the key to everything, and if you don't have Gems, you have to wait for a really long time for things to be done. Like, a year. Really. And Gems cost money, a lot of money, so it's one of those paid-but-not-really apps that's fun for a while then you can't really do much because you don't have any MONEY because you already spent it all on this app. I do like the strategy and stuff, and if you're willing to wait for a while, it can be very fun. Plus, it's very detailed, and its graphics and music are just simple enough to make it cute while being detailed enough to make it interesting. There isn't really a story, just some goblins you have to beat up and stuff, but a lot of people don't do the goblin stuff and instead just fight other players. It's pretty fun to be in a Clan, but when EVERY ONE OF YOUR CLAN MEMBERS IS OFFLINE (Blurb, xiama1103, Ice, etc.), it doesn't really help you too much. And it's one of those things where you're either really low or super high in the leagues and things, so it's one way or the other, and right now I'm stuck in the lower category. I'm trying to save Gems to upgrade my Town Hall and stuff, but it's hard when the most gems you can get without buying stuff is like 25 from a Gem Box and those don't pop up all that often.
Summoners War: I got this from an ad on another app, so I didn't think it was going to be all that good... but the thing is, it IS! You are a summoner that is trying to get up to battling and stuff, and you have to train little monsters with different attack and heal spells so you can fight the bad guys! There are a couple of things I like about this game, so let's run through them:
1. The storyline. You get to be in the middle of the action, with interesting villains (for a game) and a plotline. An actual plotline. Most games don't have a story whatsoever besides the tutorial, and so it was refreshing to see an actual story.
2. The game mechanics. I really like the monsters' complicatedness (there are experience boosters, and level-ups, and runes you can add to them to give them more health or things, and stars you can level them up to, and Evolution where they get new stuff, and et cetera... the list goes on and on), and I like the different levels they have that aren't just fighting the same things over and over again. There are cool bosses, and good prizes.
3. Crystals. There are two types of crystals- red and blue- and the red ones cost money, like Gems. However, they're a lot more readily accessible than Gems, seeing as you get 2 from fighting sometimes, and you get to mine them.
4. Timing. Unlike other games, where you have to wait for your monsters to recharge and stuff, they get full health back immediately so you can keep playing. Things are summoned immediately, instead of waiting to be "built", so you can fight and battle instantly again and again. There are daily quests that you can complete, and regular ones as well, and they're simple tasks that you can do pretty easily and they actually help you play the game.
Overall, the combination of strategy, good timing, well-placed plot, and PvP fighting make it one of the best RPG style games I've ever played, and you'll like it too. It's free, by the way. The only things they could fix are the fact that it's a pretty high learning curve, and a lot of stuff just has "Preparing Update..." on it when you tap on it. Besides that, good game, would play again, 10/10/10.
Okay, so there's been a song that I've been totally obsessed with the last few days- actually, two, which is why there are two song recommendations today. The first is "Deya" by Televisor, which is really cool. It's like if someone blended together a sort of Beatles-ish lyric combo with some electronic, and it's pretty cool.
The second is called- fittingly- Second Flight by Approaching Nirvana. First off, Approaching Nirvana is pretty nice, and they make good music by themselves. But this song hits it off the charts. It's sort of trance-y and has some REALLY COOL chords, like if MrFijiWiji wrote a song and went to Approaching Nirvana and said, "Hey guys! Turn this into one of your songs! I don't want to do the work right now, plus my voice is tired!" And then there's the chord switch from HEAVEN. Seriously, that chord switch is amazing.
But wait! That's not all! There were three new My Little Pony episodes that I watched over break, so... you know the drill. I'm going to be raving for a while, so if you don't like MLP, just skip to the end of the review- it'll have lines across it.
So first there's The Mane Attraction. This was an awesome episode, and definitely a social metaphor for a lot of singers like Lady Gaga. I love the character of Rara but there are some things that I thought were a little rushed, i.e the entire episode. The dialogue wasn't very inspired or well-written, and it was basically a musical with dialogue inserted for song breaks, but it got through to the songs in just enough time for me to keep watching. Because the songs were AMAZING.
First off, "Equestria" is probably the Equestrian Anthem. If it isn't, it should become it. It's a really pretty song, and it gets stuck in heads easily. Apparently the writer was inspired by the song "America", so yeah, I'm going to say it's called "Equestria". So what if Rara the filly sounds like an adult? It's still a cool song. And her Cutie Mark is so cool :D
Secondly, "The Spectacle" was actually not bad. I mean, it could have been a better song given how good Rara's singing is shown to be, and the Autotune HURTS MY EARS, but it's still not a bad song besides that. Sure, it's showy, and the effects are a bit much, but just the audio isn't bad.
Then, the last one: "The Magic Inside". THIS ONE IS AWESOME. It's just so- so- so- s- IT'S GOOD!
There. That's over with. That's pretty much the entire episode. The songs. Yeah, it wasn't a big hit with me.
Then we have episodes 25 and 26. I think. Anyway, parts 1 and 2 of "The Cutie Re-Mark" are SO COOL. I love the timelines. All the timelines. And this is a kid's show. That's covering time, paradoxes, and the butterfly effect. My favorite by a long shot is the Crystal War AU because of DASH. I've even made an AU based off of that timeline. It's called the Rebel Dash AU. It's pretty cool, if I do say so myself. The Chrysalis takeover timeline isn't bad either. And it raises a lot of questions like what Zecora knows about time, since she seemed to know something about the fact that they were time travelers. Oh, and about the Crystal War timeline: why does Rainbow have a nicked ear, a scar on her eye, and a bionic wing?! Also, we never see their Cutie Marks, which raises some questions about what their Cutie Marks are and just Cutie Marks in general. For example, in my AU, they get different Cutie Marks for different things, but what would it really be? It couldn't be what they got originally, because they never learned that they had to do those things that would get them their Cutie Marks (for example, Applejack never returned home because that was where she was "supposed to be"), so she never got her three-apple Cutie Mark, right? So what the heck is her Cutie Mark? Is she a blank-flank? Does she have the same Cutie Mark because she did come home, just for a different reason (because of the war and she needed to make rations), or does she have a different Cutie Mark because of a different skill she showed? I don't know, what're your thoughts? Write them in the comments or email me, because I want your input!
More about the episode. I enjoy the fact that some minor villains got more screen time and it showed how bad things would really be. For example, one main complaint with Sombra is that he was just a "looming darkness" that never really did anything. But with the new timeline, we saw what would have happened if he had won and been brought back with the Crystal Empire. He still didn't talk, though- maybe they couldn't get somebody to play the voice they wanted to pick out. But enough of the Crystal War- Applejack turning into Queen Chrysalis was BEYOND SCARY. Ugh! *shudders*

One last thing after the review that's pony-related: why do all non-bronies judge us by the fact that our theme song sucks? It's not like we wrote it, plus, we don't like it either. Trust us. We hate it.
Recommended YouTuber today is Element Animation. I know that I've probably recommended them here before, but I still like their work because it's really funny and stuff. Seriously, it'll make you snicker. Guiltily.
I really want mint chocolate chip ice cream. Bye, guys! Off to get some MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM! I have to go back to school now! I'll try to post not once a week!

Gracc....
wait....
Mysterious voice? Who are you?
Call me "mysterious voice", it's a lot more mysterious than I am...
Okay, mysterious voice. What is it?
You forgot something...
Oh yeah! The Gravity Falls episode!
And something else...
Wait! Phil is not on fire! Seven!
Yep, there you go. I'm off to go mysterious someone else.
Okay! Bye, Mr. Mysterious Voice!

Well, there you have it, guys! I need to do that now!
Gravity Falls first off. That was AWESOME. Mabel's bubble is a diabolical, mind-shatteringly glittery prison. It's amazing and yet it's terrible. And the only thing I can say about the dreaded character that must not be named is that he is TERRIBLE. Especially once you see Subway. Eat Fresh. Dippy Fresh.
Also, someone paused at the right moment with Bill with his arms and legs up, and someone else photoshopped him onto a waterslide. Gosh darn you, Tumblr. God save you, Tumblr. On Tumblr as well, someone noted that Dipper survived twelve days in Weirdmageddon and thought he was hardcore. Oh, foolish, naive person. Don't you know what Dipper's done before? And also, Mabel's paradise turning into slimy, writhing maggots was HORRIFIC. Wait, were those maggots? I don't know, they sort of looked like the fuzzy caterpillars from Into The Bunker. But yeah, that was Weirdmageddon II. I cannot wait for the last installment! It's una hora long (one hour) and coming in 2016! However, it's the very last episode of Gravity Falls, ever. Which makes me sad beyond belief. So sad. Like looking through photos of your best friend, who's going to die and you can't save them. SO SAD. Buuuuuuut it's going to be one hour long so that's gonna be fun! Plus, it's next year. Actually...
This is the last hiatus in Gravity Falls.
Ever.
D: SOUND THE ALARM

Well, onto PINOF 7!
This was awesome. It was my very first PINOF being in the Phandom, so it holds special significance to me. It was "friendship yoga" which was awesome, but now I can't wait for the next one D:

Now I can be off to create Dan and Phil as ponies! Bai everyone!
