OH HEY THERE

Care to join me for a cup of tea AT 1:00 AM?! Yeah, I'm up late, I know, please don't get on me about it. I wanted to post more about my SYNTHESIA! This is now a cool FAQ page for my synthesia!
General facts about it:

  • It isn't too common, but scientists think everyone has it at birth and most lose it over time.
  • Basically, it deals with sense mixups. Most of them are a sense linked to sight, for example when you hear a sound you see a shape, but there have been cases documented of someone who, when he tastes certain foods, feels the sensation of objects being placed in his hands. Weird, right?
  • Everyone's colors can be different, and there are lots of different types, like sight-sight (as weird as it sounds, that's actually one; if you see a word for example it's in color), sight-sound, taste-sight, etc.
Facts about MINE!
  • I have colored words and colored sounds. Don't ask me to eat a ton of chocolate and ask if I see anything. Although I wouldn't object to lots of chocolate.
  • I remember people a lot by pairing colors with names, names with faces, and colors with faces. Basically, I see someone and when I hear their name, I know that it's a certain color, for example, light green. Then, I assign an "aura" around them, which is the color of their name. Then, when I see their face, I remember their name based on their aura. It's a lot simpler in practice, believe me.
  • Different sounds have different colors of course, and then because of this, songs have colors. I usually avoid songs with orange and brown colors, and go more for green, blue, and purple, although there are quite a few songs with mainly orange, brown, and red that I like as well.
  • It often looks like colors laid out in front of me, dipping and changing with their pitches. For example, a bass drop: It might start off pretty high up, then go over a hill and "drop", where it turns darker. For example, I listened to a really good song earlier with a blue bass track, and it turned darker when it dropped, almost midnight blue.
  • It isn't something that I can control, and I was born with it. You can't learn synthesia. Sorry for everyone who doesn't have it.
frequently asked Questions:
Q: does it hurt?
A: no. not at all, actually.
Q: are you sure this isn't totally made up?
A: YES. I AM SURE.
Q: what does my name look like?
A: COMMENT YOUR NAME I WILL ANSWER
Q: does it hurt?
A: AGAIN, NO. NOT AT ALL.
Q: how does this affect you?
A: I like listening to Dubstep more than the average human. That's pretty much it.
Q: What do you see when you're listening to a song around you?
A: well, I obviously see the song, and I also see some other stuff. like, I ride the bus and I see people's auras pouring from their seats, and when someone isn't there, I can see a projection of them, colored like their aura, in the seat where they sit.
Q: so it really doesn't hurt?
A: NO!
Q: you sure?
A: YES I AM SURE! I AM DONE WITH YOUR QUESTIONS! *stalks out*

So yeah, that went swimmingly! Wasn't kidding about the comments thing though.
Bye! To sleep!

Rain, your name's sort of a washed-out blue-gray color. Skylar, yours is an EXTREMELY strong dark purple.
